Who they are
The lion is Zoo al Maglio’s mascot—the animal children ask to see as soon as they walk in. We house it in a dedicated area with viewing spots that allow visitors to see it up close.
In the wild, lions live in family groups: they are the only truly social big cat. The threats they face include habitat loss, poaching, and conflicts with local communities living in the same areas.
Those looking for a more intense experience can book the Animal Experience: Lions, which is reserved for those 18 and older.
