Who they are
Docile and curious, the corn snake is not venomous: it captures its prey by constriction. Its name comes from the checkered pattern on its belly, which resembles corn cobs.
It is the star of one of the Animal Talk sessions and the “World of Reptiles” workshop: for many visitors, this is their first chance to see a snake up close and to rethink some of their preconceptions.
