The species
Who they are
Australian marsupials, relatives of the kangaroo. The young are born very small and complete their development in their mother’s pouch, where they remain for months before emerging.
At the zoo, they share the space with the African tortoise: two contrasting ways of being in the world—one that moves in leaps and bounds, and one that’s in no hurry at all. They are the stars of both a free Animal Talk andan Animal Experience.
Come and meet them
Zoo al Maglio is open 365 days a year, holidays included.
