The species
Who they are
Guinea pigs come from the Andes, where their wild relatives still live in colonies among the rocks. They communicate a lot: they have a repertoire of whistles, squeaks, and grunts that varies depending on whether they’re asking for food, warning of danger, or greeting a companion.
They thrive only in groups, and they are among the first animals that children can feed during the Baby Tour.
Come and meet them
